In Mychael's words:
I am a free-spirited artist with a passion for true expression. I am inspired by anything original or creative that comes from the soul.
I was born in Alexandria, Virginia on May 8, 1992 as an only child. (16yrs) When you are an only child growing up you tend to let your imagination go wild. Growing up, it was hard to make friends because I moved a lot. To compensate for my lack of friends I would create my own “world” inside my mind. Television, comic books, and fictional novels fostered my imagination and influenced me to create more things inside my own “world.” I had such a vivid imagination I wanted to express that to people in such a way that it impacted them.
So I began going against the popular culture to pursue a creative lifestyle, not to be rebellious but different. Not wearing the “popular brands,” or listening to the newest band, but rather wearing what I actually liked and listening to musicians, such as Thelonius Monk or Ray Charles. People would soon catch onto my idea of being a “leader”, instead of a follower. I started to get attention from my peers and have made many friends and long-lasting relationships with like-minded people I have met.
Coming from an artistic household obviously influenced me to turn to art as an effective form of expression. My grandfather was (and still is) an amazing pencil artist and I admired him for that but I wanted to have a different art style. I drew cartoons when I was small (and still do), with the characters still lodged in my memory banks. So I got into painting. I paint iconic figures that I admire and also create abstract art that represents my creativity. Through the mediums of my artwork, my outfit, and my music I represent the lifestyle of a true artist.

Insight
Insight is usually defined as "finding the true nature of a thing". Whether that thing be life, a human emotion, etc., I think it's important to have a good understanding of such subjects. If you have a general understanding of those things life is usually better for you and everyone else.
