In Kevin's words: I was born in Feb 20, 1990 in Chapel Hill, NC and I have lived here my whole life. When I was only 17 months old I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Being so young with diabetes it was difficult to keep my blood sugars stable, resulting in acquired brain injury. I have lost much of my short term memory which makes many activities difficult. I have been homeschooled through middle school and high school, and am most proud of earning the Eagle Rank in boy scouts in 2008.
I have always loved art and the use of color. I started working with beads and beaded jewelry when I was 15 years old. I love using contrasting colors and shapes in my overall designs. I want people to have as much fun wearing my jewelry as I do making it.
