Chris Heivly is an accomplished executive in the information-technology sector with proven experience in marketing, sales, business development, investment finance and operations. His 25+ year diverse career spans a broad range of senior positions in the government sector, a Fortune 150 global company and small, entrepreneurial startups. He has operated at the highest levels formulating company strategies, launching new businesses and closing non-strategic divisions.

Mr. Heivly has spent the last three years launching a software incubator in the Raleigh/Durham area called The Startup Factory. Part venture capital – part mentorship on steroids, TSF has invested in and mentored 31 companies. Chris’s expertise is around customer development including both online & offline, direct sales, business development and strategic partnerships.

Part of his resume pertains to many of us. Mr. Heivly was one of 3 founders of MapQuest (previously GeoSystems Global Corporation) and served the company in numerous roles. Mr. Heivly utilized his business development skills to start-up the new consumer products division which later created the MapQuest service. Mr. Heivly sat on the MapQuest board of directors for 3 years.
